Aquilano.Rimondi Spring Summer 2011 Milan Fashion Week

Aquilano Rimondi had presented its spring summer collection last Sunday, September 26th, during the Milan Fashion Week. The duo Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi got the enthusiasm in 70’s Italian fashion, taking references of the decade to invest in bright tones, quaint and bucolic prints and fluid proportions.

The dresses came floating, sometimes sleeveless, others with a long sleeve, but mostly with round discrete neckline. Slits were the main charm of the collection, enhancing a soft sensuality in different skirts lengthens. The palette appeared living, getting combinations of ochre and marigold, turquoise, black & white, green & gold, passing throw subtle tones of wine, dark brown and finishing with bright orange, sunny yellow, sky blue and burgundy. The prints started delicate and tiny, influenced by flowers and the countryside accent from bohemian style. After, it seemed to be a Klimt’s paint background, in marigold and random blue squares. The stripes were also on catwalk, being vivid and sometimes in more than one color, but the highlight of the runway were about the shantung sets of blazer with pencil skirts and shorts.
The result was a verve and colorful collection, with a distinctive sensuality surrounded by glam.
