She is becoming famous since the last edition of ITS EIGHT Acessories Award, where she shows her shoes collection with different and off-kilter models. The artist, as we can call her, made exquisit shoes with different materials and 3d dimension. She used stainless steel, walnut wood, acrylic and leather to create structured and architectonics models. The good taste and the perfect design its just like art. They were made to be wondered and wished, but also can be wore.

The development process involves laser cutting and other tecniques. This model above is made up of 6 or 7 acrylic pieces that you can mount or dismount. The pieces are all flattend, so if you wish you can even put the shoe into a envelope.

“It was a massive learning curve as I used materials and techniques which were completely new to me. For example, in order to achieve the look and the correct fit, I learnt to use a 3D computer program and had a shoe engineered out of one piece of resin. I had pieces laser cut and used techniques from across disciplines. I drew on my experience from traditional shoemaking to ensure the shoes fit”, she said.

Chau have been workinh with shoes and accessories for about 8 years and from now on is opening her own footwear label.
