Calvin Klein – NY Fashion Week Fall Winter 2010/11

The designer Francisco Costa kept the minimalist idea of Calvin Klein and enhance the architetonic structures for New York Fashion Week. In the catwalks, marked and roud shoulders had a detach amoung tailoring coats and dresses.

The colection comes, as always, with the practicity enlace with the fashion information. The garments are strictly comercial, that can be wore as at day as at night. Each coat, skirt or blouse have a perfect cutout, with that fits like a glove.

Sleeveless, shorter pants and dresses lined on knees or under it, represents the back to the 90’s inspiration.
The dresses comes with straight cutouts letting the female curves more discrete. Bulky cashmire’s coats warms the look and be even more fancy with subtle lurex’s embroideries.

The necklines were replaced by collars and simple cutouts. Simple, classical and chic, they are the key characters of that collection.

The materials were leather, wool, silk and crepe, with a detach fot the cashmere which had a tretament and gained a smooth touch. The shapes with straight cutouts brings an extremally sober atitude.

The garments were all clean, with neuter tones almost always but two blue ones give a contrast in the collection.

Calvin Klein as we already know: Fabulous and Practical. Never old-fashioned.
