Christian Dior Haute Couture Fall 2011 brought as inspiration the natural colors and textures of flowers. The runway emerged in catwalk with a splash of degrade hues, looking much similar to an expression paint than a real collection.
The shoes were lovely sandals full of thin straps in round asymmetrical lines and covered heel. The palette was as diverse as the natural one: green, pink vivant purple, wine, lilac, shiny yellow, blue marine and candy green. The heels seemed to be stems, enhancing the theme of the collection. Despite of being quite quaint, the sandals were delicate and absolutely gorgeous.
What gave the essence for the attires and create the fantasy environment were the textures and the colors. The tint was a degrade technique which gave naturalist and smoothness for each piece. The fluidness of the fabric and the layers gave the feeling of the model was really covered by flowers’ petals and the textures of tiny ruffles and effects created a delightful view. The volume was present is everything, since the elaborated hairstyles, covered with colorful plastics until the amazing skirts which took all attentions.
The makeup followed the outfit: powerful and colorful was marked by geometric eyes, delineated by eyeliner and matte black lipstick. The eyebrows appear strong, in an arch shape and the cheeks pale, as the rest of the face.
The full collection brought a strong mark, being once again, unforgettable.
