Cruise Collection – Chanel 2010

Last Tuesday, May 11th, Chanel leaded by Karl Lagerfeld had presented the Cruise Collection, a beach air runway, outdoors. The presentation gathered hundreds of fashionists in Saint Tropez, started with an exhibition of the movie “Remember Now” and. in sequence, came the collection.

The models went down from boats and came in direction to the catwalk, walking on a free and natural way, Said Lagerfeld, matching with the Saint Tropez air. The designer also affirmed that the collection was wishing for evoke a French easy going look.

In dresses with a marked waistline and fluid blouses, Karl brings life to the Idea of Saint Tropez. While he pointed the collection with Black and White, the color was everywhere: Brown, amber, absinth and mint Green, blue marine and shining pinks had appeared in blocks of colors and prints. There was a range of proportions: a few under knees, other close to the ankles; a seduction game for day by day, with the delicateness of ruffles, sequins, tweeds and fringed chiffon.

A palette with pastel hues blending with shining nuances in cotton silhouettes with slight wide bottomed trousers and pleated blouses, dressed with wide belts. The jeans remained like a main piece – washed or tinted, with crystals and studs or fringe appliances, it was wore like a second skin.

Summer dresses, ruffled bikinis and short sleeves sweaters came with a vichy pattern. The tweed jackets and the cardigans were matched with chiffon blouses and the famous Chanel suit came re-invented. Embroidered and embellished, the tweed, at this moment, were used with showing legs and low heels shoes, or even, Greek sandals with golden leather.

The casual chic look received yet suede which was all embellished with embroideries and sewing in a diamond shape, while the knitting made the sensation with Black, White Pink and super colorful stripes.
