Iceberg Spring Summer 2011 Milan Fashion Week

The Iceberg’s creative designer, Paolo Gerani, had presented its Spring Summer collection last Monday, September 27th. The inspiration came from Hitchcock blondes like Lauren Hutton, Faye Dunaway and Farrah Fawcett, all them which starred in Iceberg ad campaigns during 70’s. But the 70’s are not a visible reference on the runways. Different from many brands which took the bohemian style, or even the last year’s glam, Iceberg took a subtle look on that decade.

The collection appeared subtle and very wearable, taking discrete joker tones as taupe and camel, sand and beige or ivory and an earth red. The blazers came in a boyfriend style and the skirts on a tulip shape. A dark turquoise covered a loose jumpsuit and worn jeans appeared modeling a shirtdress. Splashes of dark green emerged on some garments and the sheer also dared to make it bold.

The runway itself was quite simple, but enough to delight exactly for it.
