When we talk about the size of the clothing, the world is not so democratic.Those women with a few extra pounds don't have so many optios like the others, skinnier. Slowly this situation start to change, and some brands shows that are already directing their attencions for the woman with curves. That's the case of the fashion designer Elena Mirò, which since the seventies works with fashion for bigger sizes. Her trend is directed for modern women, informed and dinamics, that don't want to lose the elegance and sophistication of the fashion regular size.

In the collection presented in Milan Fashion Week, for Spring Summer 2010, the designer betted in a sophisticated safari reference, using like theme those fancy women who travel throw the desert. To value the curves of generous shape women, she brought flowing and confortable forms.

Pieces like Caftãns and wide dresses until the knees, came with ethno and geometric patterns, giving a very elegant air for those who wear a bigger size. The animals patterns also appeared in another dresses, skirts and in a few beach wear that was showed on catwalks.

Elena had chose for straight cuts, mainly in skirts and dresses. This factor helps to decrease visually the bulk of the body and provides a poised silhouette. In some cases, the waist was lightly marked by belts with medium thickness. The pieces with the waist on place, by the way, had apperead a lot in the summer collection. Pants and skirts with really high waistband helped to delineate better the body curves.

The designer also had proposed for those women the pants that are trend in the season, and which are perfect for women overweight. The models with flowing cut, besides be more confortable, value better this kind of body than the skinny pant, whith started to desappear. The carrot modeling was the most saw, and still has appeared in jumpsuits, whith are also a hit for the season.

The patterns choosed were discrete and sophisticate, such a neuter color palete, that let the looks even more fancy. Sand, brown, gray, black and wite compose the most part of the visuals, broken sometimes with touches of red, bringing some energy.
To complete the fancy safari productions, Elena Miro,had also proposed the use of maxi necklaces – whith are a strong trend in accessories and also match with the biotype of those women – and turban on the hair.
The Maxiwear of the designer, with no doubt, transmits sophistication and luxury, showing that the women with a little overweight, also can be dressed with elegance and betting on the season trends!
