Check the ochre and cobalt waves during Mulberry’s runway
On September 14th Emma Hill had presented her Spring Summer 2011 collection by Mulberry. The runway happened at Soho House, in New York City and brought a splash of living hues to bet on springtime.
With an intense background built with red roses the brand presented a relaxed collection for a woman who is elegant day-to-day. The palette came with khaki, white, pastel hues of pink, blue and peach, a light ivory, deep purple, turquoise and a mix of blue and grey. A scale of orange constructed looks in an almost degrade appearance, from ochre to peach tones.
The seventy’s/eighty’s references were obvious: high waist and pleat trousers and shorts, leather fanny pack and trench coats filled the catwalk matched with red wigs and structured bangs. The textures were also an important element during the collection, which worked with skirts and blouses adorned by fabric textures effects. The prints were in colorful zebra, but quite discrete, or in a light multi-color watercolor references.
