A subtle militarism and a neuter palette are the key words to define the Neil Barrett’s collection for Spring 2011

Even the military influences of Neil Barrett sounds basics. His clothes dress a man which likes to be well dressed, modern and traditional at the same time, not being a fashion victim but a fashion follower.

Creating a discrete military, with no-obvious influences, the palette started in black passing through whites and khakis. The transparences appeared as in shirts worn over white shirts, creating layers of effect or used by women, modeling legs, with the hem finishing at the top of the feet. The leather sandals, showed the current references and promises of trend. The biker trousers, with matelassé details gained detach, while the subtle transparences let a mystery when used under well shaped blazers.

When the leather wasn’t creating spectacular shapes, it was at least on details: leather stripes cover dresses and men’s shirts. The contrasting of black and white was constantly matched, with clean lines and arrangements. The full outfits in just one color scared a bit, giving a shock of view. Blue petroleum appears in the middle, having a discrete appearance, but enough to gain attention.

By the end, the men’s trousers were absolutely shaped, tight close to the body and the biker jackets closed casual straight outfits. Khaki and creamy hues took place in a few looks, again contrasting with black leather pieces. For women, the one strap model prevailed, and the black was the master piece. The deep V necklines gained space at the end, showing a serious sensuality.
The militarism of Barrett was as subtle as the palette, but had conquered the viewers by the classy elegance which exhaled.
