The first tied shoe was introduzido in England about 1640 and sooner became popular among the students from the Oxford University. Since that, the name and the style had dissaminated. The Oxford shoes are charcterized for being closed and tied, and the upper leather and the back are over the lateral. The upper leather is formed by two pieces where the beak stay over the second.
Essencially male, the Oxford shoe erned many special versions and appeared in female wardrobe turning a sgined trend. Announced amost two years ago, this trend was a polemic and discussion’s reason, but finally walks in many women feet.

In last Winter, the female Oxfords that were more popular was the no hills models, in a male style. The sylist Alexandre Herchcovith setted a model by Melissa that receive th name of Joy. For Winter 2009/2010 they gained high hills, and already had appeared in runways like Maria Bonita Extra and 2nd Floor. They are the “must have” in this Winter!

They can be wore with dresses and skirts over knees and also with pants. Can be matched with skinny models or with pantaloons. The jeans models with a straight modeling also matches with some models of the Oxford shoes and the tailoring shorts are a good choice to be wore with pantyhose. Should be avoided just the sporty clothes and baloné, godé or long skirts or leggings. With low or high hills, this shoe is an accessory that have to be in women closet during this Winter!
