Check the Miuccia Prada collection for spring 2011

Last Sunday, June 20th, Prada had presented its menswear collection for spring 2011. The runway, which happened in Milan, was filled with a monochromatic minimalism with splashes of colorful contrasting hues.

Starting by the background, which was pretty futuristic, with white columns and white illuminating floor, the entire collection was a blend of modernity and a bit (only a bit) of retro. The denim had appeared in shirts, which seems to keep being the bet for next season, while the fancy tidy look still gains power: The traditionalism of shaped suits, sweaters and straight trousers all in clean lines and discrete hues.

An injection of vivant tones gave happiness and springy air to the collection, which despite being simple was also simple elegant. Striped knitting added stylish while the funky red suits elongated the silhouettes. A few watercolors hues also appeared, modeling blazer and soft hues and matte materials.
