Prada Spring Summer 2011 Milan Fashion Week

Pop-colors and Funky stripes invaded Prada’s runway

Miuccia Prada had presented her Spring Summer collection on September 23rd, during the Milan Fashion Week. Only her quaint and creative brain could create such a divergent collection, if comparing to the label’s last runway for Autumn Winter 2010. Miuccia went from round leather skirts to an attractive minimalism, getting rigorous cuts and clean forms.

Starting with a bright orange dress in a one-piece shape and passing throw turquoise and green, the garments felt in striped out prints, mixes of patterns and incredible tones. The shoulders cut, too wide for a woman’s shape, gave the pieces a loose form, curvaceous. The shoes follow the last Pitti Uomo collection, having a thick and colorful sole and a manly look. The graphic banana’s shirts inspired a tropical shake and like a paradox, the models were carrying fur stoles on hand. The shocking palette, despite of minimalist shapes also got clan black dresses, to close the runway. The pop-colors, the striped out pieces and the vintage futurism were absolutely different from the feminine women from last season, but certainly got the same bold and vibrating attitude of the Prada’s women.
