One of the trends that most called attencion in winter runways 2010/11 was the renew of the rockabilly style. The rockabilly begin in the 50’s with the music by Bill Halley and Elvis Presley. It’s like a mix of rock’n ‘Roll with the American Country Music.

The adepts of that style had the appearence known by jeans, t-shirt, and leather jackets with a stylish and perfect made forelock. Some of the movie stars that were known by the style are James Dean and Marlon Brando.

During the fashion weeks in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Nova York, for Fall Winter 2010/11, some brands had presented garments and styles inspired in rockabilly. Designers as Paul Smith, Walter Rodrigues and Ricardo do Anjos brought to the catwalks the glam forelocks.

Paul Smith made a behaved style, that make us remember the famous Buddy Holly. Ricardo dos Anjos let the look more rock and rebel, with a not well done hair style, and Walter Rodrgues exaggerate in the size of the forelock, showing the glam almost David Bowie.
Beyond the hair style, some brands had the inspiration in garments, like Auslander, Cavalera, Bottega Veneta and Neil Barret. Those names puts in catwalks tight pants, leather jackets and the classical t-shirts.
The classical Rockabilly style had already inspirated many ages after 50’s, and comes with references in many ways, as in hairstyles as in garments.
