Balenciaga had presented its spring summer collection for 2011 on September 30th, during the Paris Fashion Week. The label’s creative director, Nicolas Guesquière, had presented an amusement collection which had in the model’s casting the alluring Gisele Bündchen. Nicolas got inspiration in a Cristobal’s creations and the classic pied de coq, transposing it to leather A-line dresses. Male shirts appeared with a buttoned up collar and round front point, covered by black tuxedo jackets. The trouse
Zac Posen presented a dreamy and glam collection for spring summer 2011, during the second Paris Fashion Week’s day. The evening wear was the main focus of the designer, who showed a stunning collection full of cocktail dresses and appealing boudoir. He opened the runway with enrich dinner jackets with structured shoulders and incredible embroideries, sheer slinky blouses which played with forms and pencil skirts which gave a lean silhouette. The dresses worked with cuveous visual effects and w
The basic white shirts compose that list of garments that everyone should have in the wardrobe. Easy, classical and timeless, it allows uncountable combinations and remains the primary elegance. With no restrictions, the white shirt goes well for any type of complexion, any body type or style, fitting perfectly for a sunny day on beach, or a meeting at the office.
With a different reference than they had a few seasons ago, the maxi dresses emerged once again in fashion. Vintage and stylish, the models come sometimes slinky, other with a Greek fluid inspiration but most of all, in neuter one color hue. The newness is the use of thin waist belts, a relaxed clean shape and fluidity. The maxi dresses are being matched with the seasons hits: boyfriend blazers, cropped jackets, being knotted or in sheer materials.
For Céline, pre fall started colorful, yet subtle. The splashes of red and yellow among the neuters gave vivacity for a season which has a discrete face. In the neuter garments, dark ones, the feather had main detach when contrasted with the background: clear tones of feather in a black background of fabric.
Taking inspiration in the apocalyptic novel The Melancholy of Resistancee, the brand justify the darkness and shadow collection by the name Countdown to Violence. The aesthetic plays with the militarism and the vintage uniforms in a Black & White editorial, which brings serious and drama, with splashes of red. The cast opted by black models, showcasing the natural dark skin, the shiny of lips and a deep thinker appearance.
As we have seen in catwalks and trend reports, the fifties are just in next season! To enhance even more the vintage trend Guess had showcased its AW advertisement campaign and guess what? The fifties inspiration had a clear inspiration in its work. Round full skirts, sweet tops, kitten eye line and full hair: all matched and mixed with the teddy boy couple. But despite of the romantic accent of the decade, Guess betted also in the rebel look, leather trousers and showing stomach, modern jackets
The palette comes in neuter dark hues, pretty much wintering but broken by splashes of red and plaid. The wide modeling took place covering coats and jackets gaining a squared shape and large shoulders, otherwise there were also the short-and-tight suits, the folded hem worn with military boots and skinny jeans. The hit was about the thin belt used marking the waist, over thick coat.
The aviator inspiration took place first, during AW 2009 collection, being the main look for Hermès. The brand took the trendy pilot girls from 40’s, the marked waist jumpsuits and other overalls. The seriousness of the garment is replaced by the glam of the decades and the different interpretation of it: retro style, most of them in khaki hues and comfortable shapes.
The AW trends already are getting in the market, renew, transformed and inspired by the greatest brands. Waiting for a rigorous winter, since the seasons are becoming extremes, the fashion took the overcoats and jackets and worked in different styles for the essential garment. New volumes are the main trend for next season, which started appearing in shoulders and now comes in many zones and garments, including the coats. The look rescue the “la garcon“accent from 60’s, infecting mainly cuts an
