The brand started in 2000, when Örjan Andersson, after working about 10 years with the brand Lee in Sweden, joined with two partners opening their own business. The first store was called Weekend, as the name already said, it only opened on Saturdays and Sundays. After a successful launch the brand moved in downtown and changed the name to Weekday, then opening during the week. The second hand brand has a modern original style, calling the attention of stores nets, being sell wide world.

Today, the new hipsters are a bit more in about fashion. They want to be known because of it, mixing every kind of information that they can, and searching for new stuff on internet.They take 80’s references, and almost get tacky with all those mixes. But the truth is that the movement is not the same it was in 50’s. Is much more about consumes and style, than a lifestyle as was for Kerouac. Is about another kind of music than the old jazz. Those are the new hipsters.
